A script timer built for the recording workflow

What the planner does

Paste a video script, choose a speaking pace, and see a narration estimate based on spoken words. Markdown headings or blank lines can become editable sections. Each section can include demonstration or pause time plus separate camera and screen-recording tasks.

The planner also supports task statuses, predictable filenames, local autosave, a readable Markdown export, and a versioned JSON backup.

How timing works

Narration time is the spoken word count divided by the selected words-per-minute pace. Markdown headings and square bracketed production directions remain visible in the script but are excluded from spoken metrics. Complete planned runtime adds each section’s demonstration or pause time.

Every result is an estimate. Delivery style, emphasis, retakes, edits, and unscripted moments can change the finished runtime.

Local by design

The product does not require an account, backend, paid API, or AI rewriting service. One editable project can be saved in the current browser, and local exports let the creator keep a separate copy.
